Scuola
Da lunedì a venerdì, dalle 9,30 alle 13, frequentavamo dei corsi di lingua all’English Language School. Il primo giorno siamo stati sottoposti ad un test per poterci dividere nelle classi in base al livello di ognuno. I professori si sono dimostrati disponibili e comprensivi. Alla fine delle 2 settimane tutti eravamo entusiasti dei miglioramenti ottenuti.
Cibo:
È risaputo che quando si viaggia bisogna adattarsi ad altre abitudini e culture, soprattutto quando si tratta di cibo. Non tutti hanno avuto la fortuna di essere ospitati da famiglie appassionate di cucina, ma in conclusione tutti sono riusciti ad adattarsi.
Famiglia
Nelle 2 settimane siamo stati ospitati da famiglie autoctone. La maggior parte delle persone si sono trovate bene, purtroppo alcuni hanno riscontrato problemi e hanno quindi dovuto cambiare famiglia. Nonostante le difficoltà, possiamo dire che le famiglie sono state accoglienti e disponibili. Inoltre, l’associazione ha cercato di individuare famiglie distanti non più di mezz’ora dal centro della città.

School
From Monday to Friday, from 9,30am to 1pm, we attended some language courses at the English Language School. The first day we did a test to be divided in different classes depending on our own level. The teachers were available and sympathetic. At the end of the 2 weeks everyone was happy about their improvement.
Food
It’s well known that travelling you get in touch with other habits and cultures, especially when it comes to food. Not everyone were lucky enough to be hosted by families who were keen on cooking, but in the end everyone manage to adapt.
Families
In these 2 weeks we’ve been hosted by local families. Most of the people got on with them, but unfortunately some of us had some problems and for this reason they changed their family. Despite the difficulties, the feedback was positive: the families were welcoming and available. Moreover, the organisation tried to choose families far 30 minutes at the most from the city centre.

Scuola
La scuola era al centro della città in un quartiere carino. Eravamo divisi in classi in base alle nostre conoscenze di inglese. Le lezioni erano al mattino e duravano 3 ore con una pausa di 30 minuti.
Cibo
Il cibo in Scozia è veramente strano perché hanno pochi piatti tipici come, per esempio, Fish and Chips, Haggis o le salsicce tipiche e i ristoranti erano tutti italiani.

School
The School was in the Centre of the city in a really nice neighbourhood. We were dividied in classes based on our knowledge of english. The lessons were in The morning and lasted 3 hours with a 30 minutes break.
Food
Food in scotland is very Strange because there are only a few tipical dishes such as fish and Chips, haggis or sausages and most of the Restaurants were Itaians.
