Main Attractions

Edimburgo è una città molto interessante e carina. Siamo stati in molti musei, ma abbiamo avuto modo di visitare anche delle attrazioni storiche e divertenti, come per esempio la città vecchia, il castello, Scott Monument, il Duomo...

Inoltre abbiamo passato almeno un'ora al giorno in Princess Street; la strada principale di Edimburgo, piena di negozi dove puoi andare durante il giorno e piena di vita di sera. 

Uno dei luoghi più caratteristici in cui siamo stati è un pub molto piccolo; Edimburgo è piena di pub ma può avere il vanto di avere il più piccolo pub di tutta la Gran Bretagna. È minuscolo!

Io credo che, un'attrazione speciale sia decisamente Scott Monument, situata nel centro della città, in Princess Street, si eregge  un monumento molto gotico. Ti consiglio di cercare su internet e scoprire com'è. Ne varrà la pena!

Ci siamo divertiti molto a Edimburgo, e dobbiamo dire grazie ai nostri professori così pazienti.

Edinburgh is a really nice and interesting city. We have been to lots of museums but we have also seen a lot of funny and historical attractions, such as the old town, the Castle, Scott Monument, the Dome...

Moreover we spent  at least one hour  everyday in Princess Street; the main street of Edinburgh, there are plenty of shops where you can go during the day and it's full of life during the night. 

One of the most characteristic place where we have been is a very small pub; Edinburgh is full of pubs but it can boast to have the smallest pub in UK. It is tiny! 

In my opinion, a special attraction was definitely Scott Monument, placed in the middle of the town, in Princess Street, spring up a very gothic monument. I suggest you to look on internet and find out how it is. It's gonna worth it!

We had a great time in Edinburgh, and we have to say thank you to our patients teachers.

  • Hollyrood Palace è la residenza ufficiale in Scozia di Sua Maestà, dove trascorre alcune settimane all'inizio dell'estate. 
  • Il castello di Edimburgo è un'antica fortezza che si trova in cima ad una collina e domina il panorama della città di Edimburgo.
  • Portobello è un sobborgo costiero di Edimburgo che dispone di una promenade e un'ampia spiaggia.
  • Loch Lomond è il più grande lago della Gran Bretagna e si trova nelle Lowlands, nella Scozia Meridionale.
  • New Lanark è un villaggio scozzese sul fiume Clyde e patrimonio dell'UNESCO.
  • Saint Andrews è una città universitaria ed ex borgo reale sulla costa orientale del Fife.

  • Edinburgh Castle is an historic fortress which dominate the skyline of Edinburgh from its position on the Castle Rock.
  • Portobello is a coastal suburb of Edinburgh, it has a promenade which fronts onto a wide sandy beach.
  • Loch Lomond is a Scottish lake that crosses the region between the the Lowlands of Central scotland and the Highlands.
  • New Lanark is a village on the river Clyde in Lanark shire and it is also an UNESCO World Heritage Site. 
  • Saint Andrews is a town on the east coast of Fife in Scotland, it hosts the third oldest university in the english speaking world.
